Adams are a catering equipment & furniture hire company providing catering equipment to the hospitality industry.
Our clients typically are caterers and venues who need items for weddings, functions and also corporate gatherings. But we also work directly with the client and/or weddings planners who rely upon our helpful service with the organisation skills and knowledge that we have especially having been in the industry for over 20 years. Many like to visit our showroom and speak to us in person and chat through the finer details of their event as for many, it is their first time and it is also beneficial to chat through with alternatives they may not have considered.
We are now based in Enfield which has good direct links into London, as that is also where the majority of our work is.
Gaining new clients is always on our mind, but we also consider the impact on our existing clients, as our service is not ‘one off’ for many of them we have relationships that go back the full 20 years and our product is a service that we have worked long and hard at providing the very best of and client retention has very rarely been an issue. Due to the nature of our business gaining business clients is mainly word of mouth as to be let down, on the day of your event could be a disaster and so trust is probably the most important part of relationships in this industry.
My saying is ‘a plate is a plate is a plate’ You can hire a plate from one hundred suppliers, it is the delivery of that plate that is the heart of our business.
With the UK and the world in turmoil and will be for many years we will be concentrating on our core products and supporting our regular clients, but we know that many will not be able to survive this pandemic and we honestly feel for them.
The majority of our clients are small/medium caterers and hopefully they will be able to weather this storm and come out wiser. We will be supporting them as best we can. Unfortunately we know we shall have to have some job losses and some streamlining of the business and are looking to perhaps diversify into selling products that we stock and are popular.
Jo and all the team at To Market are always so friendly and have the most amazing knowledge of the business. Jo helped when we entered several high profile awards and we came up together with the most brilliant of quirky ideas as the image we wanted to portray was just that and for three consecutive years we won. We then felt that it was time to retire from entering although we feel we could have carried on winning with the help from To Market.
