In 2022, WFTA was appointed by the UK Home Office as one of 14 grassroots organisations to provide information and direction to the support available in applying to the government’s Windrush Compensation Scheme.
The organisation organised surgeries and events promoted throughout North East London updates on our forthcoming online or face to face advice sessions, surgeries or family and intergenerational drop-in events to share the support advice and information required to begin the compensation scheme process.
To Market devised and delivered a full digital marketing campaign (social posting and paid activity) and website management to promote the Windrush Reach activity, designed to reach the target communities. This was combined with a print advertising campaign and leafletting in key locations to promote the events and work of the WFTA.
The Windrush Community Fund was designed with the Windrush Cross-Government Working Group and is a Home Office fund administered by Voice4Change England, an organisation that works with a large number of black, Asian and minority ethnic community groups and partners across the UK.
