Established in 1997 by Penny Bruce, Denton Drapes has built its foundation from a home based business to the bespoke soft furnishings company that it is today. From their fully equipped curtain workroom their highly skilled team of curtain makers produce for both residential and commercial projects.

Marketing Challenge
The company wanted to enter new target markets and redefine itself as a complete bespoke soft furnishings company to residential and commercial prospects. Penny and her team needed a plan of action on how best to go about it.
Approach
To Market undertook a brainstorming session with the Denton Drapes team to understand specific problems and create a pathway to practical marketing strategies that could be implemented within day to day working. A full marketing plan was created following this session and the actions gradually put into place. This included redefining new target markets, understanding how best to engage with these new contacts and putting into place the materials and branding style that they would expect to see and experience. Additionally, To Market was commissioned to undertake photography that would be used for online and printed use and which demonstrated the mix of contemporary and traditional styles of the company’s work.
I heard Jo speak at an industry network event and was inspired by her passion and
expertise. Our marketing wasn’t delivering the right results so we hired Jo to help us find new ideas and to develop an action plan for radical change which really helped. She also took some great pictures for our website and is a lovely lady!
